About Tracy's Puppy Club

Breeding happy, healthy Miniature Dachshund puppies since 2011. We are passionate breeders dedicated to raising well-socialized puppies with exceptional temperament and care.

Our Story

Tracy's Puppy Club was founded in 2011 with a simple mission: to breed healthy, happy miniature dachshunds that bring joy and companionship to families everywhere. Our journey began when we fell in love with the breed's unique personality, intelligence, and unwavering loyalty.

Over the past 13+ years, we've developed a deep understanding of the breed's needs and characteristics. We carefully select our breeding dogs based on health, temperament, and genetic diversity to ensure that every puppy we bring into the world has the best possible start in life.

Today, we're proud to be recognized as responsible, ethical breeders who prioritize the health and well-being of our dogs above all else. Every puppy from Tracy's Puppy Club is a reflection of our commitment to excellence and our passion for the breed.

About Miniature Dachshunds

Temperament

Miniature dachshunds are known for their bold, curious, and affectionate personalities. Despite their small size, they possess a courageous spirit and unwavering loyalty to their families.

They are intelligent, playful, and enjoy engaging in games and activities. Their independent nature means they can be a bit stubborn, but this only adds to their charm and character.

Physical Characteristics

Miniature dachshunds typically weigh 11 pounds or less and stand 8-9 inches tall. They have long, low bodies originally bred for hunting badgers and rabbits.

They come in three coat types: smooth, wirehaired, and longhaired. Their colors include red, cream, black and tan, chocolate and tan, and various patterns.

Health & Lifespan

With proper care, miniature dachshunds typically live 12-16 years. Their long backs require careful handling to prevent injury, and weight management is crucial for spinal health.

Regular exercise, a healthy diet, and preventative veterinary care are essential for maintaining their health and quality of life.

Care Requirements

Miniature dachshunds require regular exercise but should avoid high-impact activities. They thrive on companionship and can develop separation anxiety if left alone for extended periods.

Grooming needs vary by coat type, and ear care is important due to their drop ears. Early socialization and positive training are key to raising well-behaved puppies.
